We had the worst inflation in the history of our country, and now we don't have inflation. It's at 2%. It's-- it's the perfect inflation.
Inflation was 3.0%, not 2%. Consumer prices rose 3.0% in the 12 months to September 2025, and so did prices excluding food and energy.
The latest consumer price data at the time showed the all items index up 3.0 percent for the 12 months ending September 2025, and the index excluding food and energy also up 3.0 percent (Bureau of Labor Statistics, CPI release of Oct. 24, 2025).
