What did Donald Trump claim about health care on 24 Sep 2020?
Donald Trump, President of the United States ·
Today, I signed an historic executive order that ENDS surprise medical billing.
The order didn't end surprise billing. It said patients remain vulnerable to it and told the health secretary to work with Congress on a fix by December 31, 2020.
The order he signed that day, Executive Order 13951, did not end surprise billing. It stated that 'patients remain vulnerable to surprise billing', told the HHS Secretary to 'work with the Congress to reach a legislative solution by December 31, 2020', and called for administrative action only if that failed (Executive Order 13951, 85 FR 62179).
