The Los Angeles protests against immigration enforcement began on June 6, 2025, and Trump federalized the California National Guard by a memorandum signed on June 7, 2025, as President in his own second term, not Biden's (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Newsom v. Trump, No. 25-3727, order of June 19, 2025; White House presidential memorandum of June 7, 2025).
