Cantor said Romney and George Allen would win Virginia big. Obama carried it by about 3.9 points, and Tim Kaine beat Allen for the Senate seat.
Obama carried Virginia 1,971,820 (51.16%) to Romney's 1,822,522 (47.28%), and Democrat Tim Kaine beat George Allen for the U.S. Senate seat 2,010,067 (52.87%) to 1,785,542 (46.96%) (FEC, Federal Elections 2012).
