Did Elise Stefanik vote the way they spoke on government spending in March 2022?
Elise Stefanik, U.S. Representative (R-NY-21) ·
I am proud to return millions in taxpayer dollars to our district through this year’s appropriations process. … While I am proud to have worked to include several wins for Upstate New York and the North Country in this year’s appropriations package, Speaker Pelosi’s bill – drafted in the dead of night and behind closed doors – contains Far-Left, partisan provisions that I could not support
Voted Nay, 9 Mar 2022
Stefanik voted against the part of the FY2022 spending bill holding Herkimer County broadband and Fort Drum money. That same night she said she was proud to return millions to her district through it.
Stefanik voted for the first House vote on the FY2022 omnibus and against the second (roll call 66), which covered the remaining divisions. The same night her office said she was proud to return millions in taxpayer dollars to her district through the package. Among the wins it listed were $500,000 for Herkimer County broadband, a project she requested, and $27 million for the Fort Drum wellfield. Both were in the part of the bill she voted against.
