The 2024 Alabama ruling he refers to came from the state Supreme Court. It held only that Alabama's Wrongful Death of a Minor Act covers embryos created through IVF, and it revived the parents' lawsuits. It ordered no clinic to close (LePage v. Center for Reproductive Medicine, Ala. Sup. Ct. Nos. SC-2022-0515 and -0579, Feb. 16, 2024).
