A Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory study of more than 50,000 U.S. home sales, including 1,198 within a mile of a turbine, found 'no statistical evidence' that home values near turbines were affected. It concluded that an average effect larger than 4.9 percent within a mile, or 9.0 percent within half a mile, was 'highly unlikely' (Hoen et al., LBNL-6362E, 2013; published in the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, 2015).
