What did Donald Trump claim about investigations on 24 Mar 2019?
Donald Trump, President of the United States ·
No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!
Not an exoneration. Mueller's report says it does not exonerate him on obstruction, and Mueller testified that he had not totally exonerated the President.
On obstruction, Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report states: 'while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him' (Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election, Vol. II, pp. 2, 8 and 182). Attorney General William Barr's letter to Congress, sent before the post, quoted that sentence. Under oath before the House Judiciary Committee on July 24, 2019, Mueller answered 'No' when asked whether he had totally exonerated the President.
