What did Donald Trump claim about elections on 5 Aug 2020?
Donald Trump, President of the United States ·
They have literally a clause that you don't have to verify the signatures, that they don't have to do it.
Nevada's new mail-voting law has no such clause. It requires election clerks to check the signature on returned mail ballots against the voter's signatures on file.
Nevada Assembly Bill 4 (32nd Special Session, 2020), section 23, provides that when a mail ballot is returned 'the clerk or an employee in the office of the clerk shall check the signature used for the mail ballot' against 'all signatures of the voter available in the records of the clerk' and must contact the voter when two employees question a match (Nevada Legislature, enrolled bill).
